EvalHum brings together evaluation specialists, institutional stakeholders, and, most important, SSH researchers so as to take a fresh look at why evaluation is carried out and how it can best be achieved while respecting the characteristics of individual disciplines.
Innovation and impact are major issues in national and European research policy, and yet are areas where indicators fail to measure adequately the nature and scope of these aspects of research. EvalHum works to improve indicators and demonstrate just how dynamic SSH research can be and how it brings major social, cultural and economic benefits to Europe.
EvalHum is a major player within Europe, bringing real solutions. As such, we organise events and participate actively in actions across Europe. EvalHum runs the biannual Research Evaluation in the Social Sciences and Humanites (RESSH) conferences and is now a major partner in the new COST Action ENRESSH - European Network for Research Evaluation in the Social Sciences and the Humanities.
